Well MainConcept has a new version of there Linux NLE out. This is really cool. I have been waiting for this product to go into production. This is not production, but one step closer. Also... on a different topic. I wrote Macromedia so time ago and asked them why they did not port there Flash Editor to Linux. I also said that it would be hard for them to compete if someone in the Linux community created a free version. Well it now looks like a free version is being created. It does not have all the features currently, but i am sure over a short time the list of missing items will shrink. I hope that this project does really good, and that other companies that are holding out from a Linux port take notice. If we can match feature for feature, also add some really cool ones of our own, while giving it away for free, someones product line will start to suffer. The only thing that i can think of is Macromedia making a native port and getting it out there before f4l has time to create any momentum, and building a strong user base. :D
